Sailing trips & Cruises

“He who stays on the coast cannot discover new oceans.” (Ferdinand Megellan) Exciting cruises can be experienced around New Zealand, to the sub-Antarctic islands, to the Arctic. When it comes to cruises, many people think of Europe, the Caribbean or, at best, Papua New Guinea or the east coast of Australia. Unforgettable moments are guaranteed to captivate you when you meet local people, encounter bizarre landscapes, travel through spectacular fjords or encounter unknown animal species. If you would like to be enchanted by a flora and fauna that is unique in the world, then we will take you on board for a mysterious cruise.

Below you will find examples from our repertoire of countless great experiences.

Fiordland and the South Coast

New Zealand has 15,000 km of coastline to offer, and most of it is so winding that you can only go on unique expedition cruises with small ships. Experience access to remote and inaccessible wilderness areas in the Marlborough Sounds and Fiordland with Coral Adventure, visiting sheltered bays and islands to find fur seals, kakapos and pods of friendly dolphins. Along the way, hike through the Waimangu Volcanic Valley and discover the unique character of East Coast towns, from the French-influenced Akaroa to the Scottish heritage of Dunedin and the charm of the coastal village of Kaikoura.

Ponant & National Geographics Expedition

The sub-Antarctic islands are also called “Galapagos of the Southern Ocean”. Rarely will you find areas as unspoiled and natural as these islands. From famous wildlife sanctuaries to the Te Wahipounamu region, a UNESCO-listed area, you’ll experience extraordinary moments on this cruise. The famous Fiordland National Park, with the well-known fjord Milford Sound and the less spectacular fjords Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sound, should of course not be missed on this trip.
